Alcohol Container Registrations

As of February 22, 2024, liquor agencies are required to register all new alcohol containers sold in Alberta directly with the BCMB through the BCMB’s Stakeholder Information Management System (SIMS) (our registration portal). Click here to access the portal.

The resources below explain the shift to self-registration for liquor agencies (previously done on their behalf by AGLC) and what liquor agencies need to know to register a company and all new alcohol containers.
