Ken Faulkner

Ken’s Biography

Director Terms:

June 14, 2023 - June 2026

Ken joined NOVA Chemicals in 2011 and is currently the Director of Government Affairs & Industry Relations, serving on the NOVA Leadership Council, the Petrochemicals Business Team, and the Olefins and Feedstock Leadership Team. Ken works closely with the NOVA Executive Committee and its communications group, guiding NOVA’s government relations and outreach efforts in both Canada and the United States.

Prior to joining NOVA Chemicals, Ken served as Executive Director in the Office of Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and as Senior Consultant in charge of the Alberta practice for Global Public Affairs. Before moving to Calgary, Ken worked for 10 years at the Alberta Legislature in multiple roles including Director of Caucus Research, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Innovation and Science, and as Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Environment. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science and an M.B.A., both from the University of Alberta.

Ken is an active member of the Calgary community, having served on the Board of Directors for the Saddledome Foundation from 2011-2020, as part of the 2017 United Way Calgary and area Campaign Cabinet, and he was a member of the Board of Directors for the TELUS Spark Science Centre from 2001-2007.

Ken currently participates on the BCMB’s Audit Committee.
