Depot permit lengths vary, but the maximum length is five years. It is the responsibility of each depot owner to submit an Application for Renewal to the BCMB prior to the expiration of the current permit. Click the link below to access the Permit Application Renewal Form.
Failure to provide the Application for Renewal and any additional information requested by the BCMB will result in the permit expiring at the conclusion of the existing term. A permit can also be cancelled by the BCMB at any time during the permit term if a Permit Holder fails to comply with the terms and conditions of the permit, the Beverage Container Recycling Regulation, BCMB By-laws, policies or guidelines.
A Depot Application for Renewal must be received by the BCMB:
Upon receipt of the Application for Renewal, the BCMB may request additional information from the Permit Holder. It is the responsibility of the depot owner to provide that information as soon as possible or within the indicated timelines.
Within 30 days of receiving the Application for Renewal and any additional requested information, the BCMB will notify the Permit Holder about whether or not the permit renewal was granted and if granted, the permit renewal length.
If you have any questions regarding the process or require further information, please contact a BCMB Compliance Officer. Click the link below to be redirected to the Contact Page.
